Tour Postponement | No Voice Message Please

All of our scheduled tours for the remainder of 2020 have been postponed till next year in light of the absence of effective vaccine against COVID-19. Customers are allowed to a new departure date without penalty. We have notified most of the affected customers in the past week. The rest will receive our notification to that effect by June 30. [This is not a notice of outright cancellation]

If you have any questions, please let us know via email or online chat. We recently turned off voice mail to avoid ever increasing fraudulent messages from scammers – criminals from Taiwan and mainland China operating outside China (mostly in SE Asia) to evade Chinese police. Customers wishing to speak to us by phone should make the request via email and expect a call from us either immediately or early the next business day.

Reduced Office Hours

Beginning Thursday, March 12, we will be working from home. On weekdays one or two of us may come to the office to deal with urgent matters but the hours will be sporadic. Before we go back to regular office hours, we will not be able to receive visitors on premises. Nor will we be able to handle phone calls as usual. Email will be the best way to communicate with us.

The reduced hours will remain in effect until further notice. This drastic measure is necessary to reduce our exposure to COVID-19. Those who are concerned about the safety of their payment should read the update below posted on Monday, March 9.

Departures for May and Beyond

Our trips for the month of May and beyond are under review. Due to the fluid nature of the crisis, our decision on whether those trips will be postponed or cancelled cannot be made this early. Please wait till within 30 days prior to departure for our final decision.

Customers who have paid in full should not worry about the safety of their money. The funds are in a trust account in compliance with government regulations. Laurus Travel is in perfect financial health with absolutely no plan to get out of business. We shall survive this crisis in good shape.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please email us at or call 604-438-7718.
