COVID-19 is the new term for the coronavirus disease 2019. It sounds technical and makes it harder for bigots to continue referring to it as the China virus or Wuhan disease. At a time of heightened fear over the virus, who do you trust for unbiased and timely information? We trust WHO.

Customers booked on our China tours scheduled for February, March and April have been allowed to cancel or postpone subject to a very small fee which is to cover the irrecoverable credit card charge incurred at the time of tour deposit.
We are cautiously optimistic that departures scheduled for May should proceed as planned.
New bookings are accepted as usual. The early bird discount remains intact. However, deposit would not be processed until we are convinced that the coronavirus outbreak is completely under control.
As a business used to such disruptions, we are well prepared. In fact, the finance of the company is so robust that we can comfortably wait for months if not years for the crisis to blow over.

The first cases of 2019 Novel Coronavirus surfaced in early December 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan. Subsequent outbreak and spread of the contagious virus causing respiratory illness have become headline news around the world. As a tour operator sending lots of travellers to China, we naturally have been monitoring the situation very closely from the beginning.
Over the past few days, many customers who are scheduled to visit China in the near future have expressed concerns over the impact of the virus on their travel plan and their potential financial loss if they are forced to cancel their trip.
If the situation continues to deteriorate as to cause the government of Canada or USA to forbid their citizens from travelling to China, we would assist customers who have proper insurance to claim their loss. Those without insurance or whose insurance purchased through Laurus Travel provides no such coverage will be dealt with case by case.
Customers scheduled to travel in February, March and April will be updated by email or phone regularly.
Customers booked on our China tours in April and beyond are advised to pay their balance according to schedule. However, certain precautions from our side may be taken for your protection. This information will be shared individually in due course. You are also welcome to contact us any time if you have any questions or concerns regarding your final payment.
We hope you’ll find the above information helpful. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your attention!
