South Korea Tours with true East Asia Experts
South Korea tours are gaining popularity partly due to the de-escalation of the nuclear crisis besetting the Korean peninsula. For more than 600 years, the people on the Korean peninsula have suffered tremendous losses in lives and property as a result of heinous foreign invasions and horrific internal conflicts. In particular, the Korean War between 1950 and 1953 caused not only incalculable material damages but also loss of over 2 million lives when both military personnel and civilians are included.
The Korean people deserve better. The country is a wondrous travel destination. The beautiful country and its rich history are waiting for us to explore. With the glimmer of lasting peace and reunification having the promise of becoming something real this time around, we feel the time is right for us to promote Korea as a travel destination. It is in this broad historical context that we are working hard to promote tours to Korea. We’ll start with the South only but hope to be able to combine the two Koreas in the near future when the North, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea or DPRK, becomes a “normal” state. Combining the South and North means travelling through openings in the Demilitarized Zone, which in itself would make a trip to Korea worthwhile, as the Zone has become one of the best preserved wildlife habits in the Northern Hemisphere due to lack to human activities for decades.
We currently offer five South Korea itineraries. One of them focuses solely on South Korea while the others either include Japan or China. We are planning to launch a two-week Korea tour incorporating the South and the North as so as politically feasible. So stay tuned.
