Consumers don’t like or hate a business they deal with for no reason. An ethical business is one that places customer satisfaction above profit and always takes the customer’s best interest to heart in a moment of crisis, such as the recent COVID-19. Unfortunately, this is where many businesses often fail, due to greed or incompetence or both.
When the global pandemic broke out, the first thing we did with out affected customers was to assure them that their money with us was safe. We then spent the next two months issuing refund cheques to all the affected customers except those who told us to keep their money as credit. One year into the pandemic, many of those who asked us to keep their payments as credit had a change of heart. As soon as told us so, we returned their money promptly.
Since we made every affected customer whole without any hesitation, we are now benefiting tremendously from the goodwill we earned during the pandemic. This goes to show that what goes around comes around, if nothing else. While we are waiting for the right moment to resume advertising, we have no shortage of business to keep us busy.
