Useful Links for Guests Travelling to Japan & China

  • Visit Japan Web – to perform arrival procedures (immigration, customs) and “tax-free shopping service” online.

You can fill out the Visit Japan Web arrival card as soon as you have your flight and hotel details, even months in advance. However, the QR code officially activates within 72 hours (3 days) before your arrival, with many users finding 1–2 days before departure to be the best time to ensure information is accurate. We advise you to wait till within 3 days of arrival to fill out the online form. The form can be updated if need be. Complete registration at least 6 hours before landing to ensure your QR code is active and accepted.

Based on our experience, you may be confused by the steps involved, but please be patient. The first hotel of your stay is required and this can be located on our website near the bottom of  the tour itinerary. The hotel’s postal code, address and phone number can be quickly located by Googling. If you are stuck at any time, feel free to chat with us through the live chat app on our website.

  • China Arrival Card Online Portal – to submit your Entry Registration Form online (avoid third party platforms!)

You are advised to complete the arrival card online within 3 days (72 hours) prior to your arrival. This would save you time on clearing immigration and customs. However, if you cannot fill out the form beforehand, you can scan QR codes displayed at the airport on arrival or simply use the traditional paper form.

China

Effective February 17, 2026, Canadian passport holders no longer need a visa to enter China when a visit is within 30 days. Australians and UK citizens enjoy the same visa-free policy as Canadians do.
