Laurus Travel specializes in group tours with fixed itineraries and departure dates. We no longer offer customized travel arrangements due to shortage of staff. However, exceptions may be considered for travellers with disabilities and families with children under 12 years of age, subject to the fee described below.
To design a customized itinerary with a guaranteed price quote, we require a non-refundable fee of $150 to $200, depending on the complexity of the request. The fee, payable by e-transfer or credit card (Visa or Mastercard), will be applied as credit if you eventually book with us. A proposal will be drafted within 3 business days upon receipt of your payment. Major revisions will be allowed up to 3 times maximum. Requests for further revisions will be declined or subject to additional fees at our discretion.
If we agree to take on the task after a brief consultation over the phone or in person, we would ask you to fill out the Private Tour Inquiry Form and pay the non-refundable fee as required.

“As seniors with medical conditions, we cannot handle long tour days in a group, so we asked the staff at Laurus Travel to arrange a private driver and guide for our customized trip to Japan.. The driver/guide, Shin, was very knowledgeable and communicative about information on all the places we visited, sharing the history, importance and difference between Buddhism and Shintoism. He was thoughtful and considerate with our limitations, customizing the schedule to suit our needs. He had umbrellas for rainy days and a portable folding stool in case we needed to rest where there was no resting place. As we boarded the boat to cross the lake at Hakone, he told us to look for seats marked for disabled people. I am grateful that Laurus Travel staff found us such a respectful, knowledgeable driver and guide which made our trip not only comfortable, but successful.”

Hi Heidi,
I just wanted to send you a short note to add to the comments that Barbara T****** has already sent to you. I agree with the summary Barb sent. It was a wonderful and event-filled trip. Our guides were well suited to their roles and I always felt safe and well cared for while in their presence. Additionally the Asian folks that we met were warm and inviting. They seem to like tourists.
There were too many great experiences to list but I really liked the Ha Long Bay cruise, the Cu Chi tunnels and the Cambodian water festival, to name a few.
Our meals were often accompanied by a special menu. One in particular (see photo below) was at a private lunch in Hue. A lovely souvenir.
In summary I would say that, like our previous trip to China, your company has made tourist travel in Asia a very comprehensive and enjoyable adventure.
