Many unexpected events such as epidemics, natural disasters, political instability or illness can lead to a booked trip to be cancelled and consequently total loss of payments already made. An accident or medical emergency during the trip may require air evacuation or hospitalization that could cost a fortune, hence the need for travel medical insurance. On average, about 8% of our customers end up cancelling their trips or returning home prematurely, mostly due to illness of themselves or sudden death or hospitalization in the family.
