Intermediate Bookkeeping Clerk

Location: Vancouver

Employment Type: Permanent Part-time (24 hours minimum)

Laurus Travel is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Intermediate Bookkeeping Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions in a fast-paced business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping entries
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare and process payroll
  • Maintain GST/PST records and assist with tax filings
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and account reconciliations
  • Assist with budgeting and expense tracking
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and external accountants as needed
  • Support general administrative and office duties

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Certificate or diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
