Intermediate Bookkeeping Clerk
Location: Vancouver
Employment Type: Permanent Part-time (24 hours minimum)
Laurus Travel is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Intermediate Bookkeeping Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions in a fast-paced business environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping entries
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare and process payroll
- Maintain GST/PST records and assist with tax filings
- Prepare monthly financial reports and account reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting and expense tracking
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and external accountants as needed
- Support general administrative and office duties
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Certificate or diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
