About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and highly organized Full-Time Tour Guide to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves Canadian history, culture, geography, and travel, enjoys working with international visitors, and is equally comfortable leading a tour and handling office responsibilities.

Our guests are primarily English-speaking travellers from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and other high-income English-speaking markets.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead English-speaking tours and multi-day travel experiences across Canada.

  • Manage the day-to-day needs of tour groups while travelling.
  • Coordinate with hotels, attractions, transportation providers, restaurants, and other local partners.

  • Complete administrative and office duties related to tours and guest services.

  • Use Microsoft Office applications to prepare documents, itineraries, correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other business materials.

  • Maintain accurate tour records, schedules, guest information, and expense documentation.

  • Communicate with guests and suppliers by email and telephone.

  • Represent our company professionally and enthusiastically.

  • Travel extensively throughout Canada, sometimes for extended periods.

  • Adapt tours and commentary to different audiences and circumstances.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • University degree or equivalent higher education.

  • Excellent spoken and written English.

  • Intermediate-level French or higher.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Previous office or administrative work experience.

  • Genuine interest in Canadian history, culture, geography, and society.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Comfortable speaking to groups and presenting information in an engaging manner.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Comfortable handling both customer-facing and administrative responsibilities.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Canada.

  • Professional, dependable, personable, and adaptable approach to working with guests.

Preferred:

  • Degree or academic background in History, Canadian Studies, Indigenous Studies, Geography, Tourism, or a related field.

  • Previous experience as a tour guide, educator, teacher, presenter, or in hospitality/tourism.

  • Additional language skills.

  • First Aid/CPR certification.

  • Experience travelling extensively in Canada.
